She Waited Two Years to Get Her Sign Right. Here Is What She Got.

When Elizabeth opened Eureka Books and More at 3 Romers Alley in Sugarloaf, she made a simple sign and put it up just to get through the door. It said Eureka Books and More. It sat there.

She knew from day one it was temporary. She had a vision for what the real sign would look like. Something carved. Something lasting. Something people would genuinely love seeing when they walked through the village.

But she made herself wait.

Two years. She used that time to prove the business was real before she invested in making it beautiful. When Eureka Books and More had earned it, she called Keith at Sundanced Wood.

"We started by just kind of sketching and talking about ideas. I saw the piece of wood that Keith chose and then the work that he was doing on it slowly over time and each piece was like, oh my gosh, that is going to be awesome."

What Elizabeth describes is a process most sign buyers never experience. Not an order form. Not a proof sent over email. A collaboration.

A conversation that started with sketching and continued through the selection of the right piece of wood, the carving taking shape over time, and a finished piece that stopped her when she finally saw it installed.

"Seeing the finished piece, seeing it right there, it is just beyond belief. It has so much in it that just makes it gorgeous."

She had waited two years for that moment. It was worth every day.

Eureka Books and More is not just a bookstore. It is a community space built around eclectic books, STEM and educational toys, and a flex space for classes and events. A business with that kind of identity deserves a sign that carries the same warmth and intention. Not printed. Not templated. Hand carved by someone who listened to what was in the owner's mind and found a way to bring it into the world.

"He is creative, he is kind, he really listens. I mean this sign is exactly what I was thinking of in my mind and somehow he was able to bring that to life."

That is the difference between a sign and a Sundanced Wood sign. One sits there. The other stops people.

"Hire Sundanced Wood because what you are going to be really pleased about is the quality and the beauty that you are going to receive after the work is done. I just think it is beyond worth it."
